BRS chief Ok T Rama Rao Sunday met his sister Ok Kavitha, who’s within the Enforcement Directorate custody in a cash laundering case linked to the now-scrapped Delhi Excise Policy case, on the company workplace on Sunday.
Kavitha, 46, was arrested from her Banjara Hills residence in Hyderabad on Friday and was delivered to Delhi. She was produced earlier than a particular PMLA courtroom the subsequent day, which despatched her to ED custody till March 23.
While sending Kavitha to the ED custody, the courtroom had allowed some relations whom the courtroom has named in its order, together with brother KTR and husband Anil D, to satisfy her for half an hour daily between 6-7 pm throughout her remand interval.
Official sources stated KTR met Kavitha as per this permission granted by the courtroom.
Kavitha, a member of the Telangana Legislative Council and daughter of former state chief minister Ok Chandrashekar Rao, was on Saturday produced earlier than Special Judge for ED circumstances M Ok Nagpal.
The ED had sought her custody for 10 days.
It is alleged Kavitha is a key member of the ‘South Group’, which has been accused of paying Delhi’s ruling AAP kickbacks of Rs 100 crore in return for an enormous share of liquor licences within the nationwide capital.
