Positioned as one of the streamer’s ambitious Indian originals slated for 2026, the series promises an intense exploration of power, succession, and the price of holding on to an empire built over a lifetime.

Legacy is set in a formidable crime world and revolves around Periyavar, an ageing gangster who finds himself confronted by a chilling prophecy of downfall and an inevitable siege. As threats close in from all sides, he is forced to fight not only to protect his empire, but also his family and, most crucially, the legacy he hopes to leave behind. The narrative sets the stage for a thunderous clash of ambition, loyalty, and blood ties, where every decision could determine the future of the empire.

The series is directed by Charukesh Sekar, who is known for his visually grounded and character-driven storytelling. Legacy is produced by Kalyan Subramanian and is backed by Stone Bench Studio, a banner recognised for mounting content-driven yet expansive projects.
Alongside R. Madhavan in the lead, the show features a powerful ensemble cast including Abhishek Banerjee, Nimisha Sajayan, Gautham Karthik, and Gulshan Devaiah. Each actor is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the complex web of relationships and rivalries that define the series’ dramatic core.
