While the trailer of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Vala Video packed several punches and surprises, the biggest surprise was to see the return of Mallika Sherawat on the big screen. Apart from being known for her bold image, Mallika was appreciated by many for hilarious comic timing. And it seems that Raaj Shaandilyaa wanted her to mark her return to Indian films with an intriguing and funny character in the Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri starrer.

Meanwhile, Mallika Sherawat is equally excited about returning to Hindi Cinema and it has made her a tad bit nostalgic. As she discussed her journey with Hauterfly, the actress recalled her initial days and about working with the popular filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and Emraan Hashmi in the cult crime of passion drama Murder. Amid ongoing rumours about several allegations of sexual harassment on filmmakers and actors, Mallika maintained that both Mahesh Bhatt and Emraan Hashmi were some of the most ‘fantastic men’ she met in her life.
“I have met some fantastic men in my life. They have shaped me to be the woman that I am. Mahesh Bhatt sahab has given me wings. He has made a huge contribution to help me get out of those patriarchal shackles,” she said. Further speaking about the atmosphere on the sets of Murder, Mallika added, “All girls are very safe on his set. I felt very safe even doing those bold scenes in Murder. Of course, one feels a little uncomfortable because there are so many people from the unit. But both Bhatt sahab and Emraan Hashmi made me very comfortable. Emraan was an absolute gentleman.”
From music to the explosive bold scenes, Murder was one of the biggest commercial successes of Mallika Sherawat. The film also starred Ashmit Patel in a key role. And coming to Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Vala Video, the Rajkummar Rao, Triptii Dimri starrer will be releasing in cinemas on October 11.
