Ranveer Singh’s movie, Dhurandhar has been making headlines since the time it was released. The movie crossed Rs. 1,000 crore at the box office, and still, the excitement about the same movie is not at all tamed among viewers.
Part 2 of the movie is all set to hit the theatres in March 2026, and ahead of that, several controversies have already started hitting the headlines. Among others, it was Dhruv Rathee, who took a dig at Aditya Dhar’s ‘well-made propaganda’ movie, while claiming it to be a ‘dangerous’ film. Amid this, Dhurv ended up intensifying the controversy, as he recently took a jibe at Ranveer’s wife, Deepika.
Dhruv Rathee says Deepika Padukone got skin-lightening treatment, after criticizing Ranveer Singh’s film, Dhurandhar
Dhurv Rathee recently dropped a video on YouTube, which has been titled ‘Fake Beauty of Bollywood Celebrities’. In the YouTube video, Dhurv shared that what people think to be god-gifted beauty is actually doctor-gifted. He further revealed the celebrities who allegedly opted for beauty treatments, which he said were meant to make people feel ‘insecure’.

Dhurv talked about the most common plastic surgery treatments like nose jobs, lip fillers, fat removal, jawline augmentation, face lift, Botox, and others, stating that there have been several celebrities who accepted having gone through the plastic surgery treatments, while debunking those who were alleged to have gone under the knife, but denied the same. He also mentioned that actresses like Kajol, Priyanka Chopra, and Deepika Padukone got skin-lightening treatment, as in the initial phases of their careers, they used to look a bit darker, while now they have a lighter skin tone.

Dhurv mentioned that actresses generally take specific glutathione injections to get a lighter skin tone, and also they keep in check that they are not under much sunlight. Well, such a comment didn’t go down well with Deepika and Ranveer’s fans, who slammed Dhruv for his recent comment on the actress’s skin tone. People didn’t hold back from slamming Dhruv as they felt that it was an unnecessary dig at Deepika, as the YouTuber, only a few days ago, criticised Ranveer Singh’s film, Dhurandhar.

What did Dhruv Rathee say about Dhurandhar? More about the film
Aditya Dhar’s movie, Dhurandhar, has crossed the mark of Rs. 1,000 crore at the box office, and the audience is waiting for Part 2, which is slated to be released in March 2026. The movie has been a topic of discussion among the masses, even though there have been several controversies. Some filed legal suits with questions regarding the portrayal of real-life characters, while others were against the violence shown in the movie. Beating it all, Dhurandhar is roaring at the box office. It was Dhruv Rathee, who, in a YouTube video, said that well-made propaganda films are more dangerous. Dhruv said:
“Well-made propaganda is more dangerous. Films like The Taj Story and The Bengal Films were not dangerous, kyunki wo bakwaas films thi. The problem is that Dhurandhar repeatedly shows you it’s inspired by real events. It says so in the trailer. It shows the real footage from the 26/11 attacks. The real audio recordings of conversations between the terrorists and their handlers have been used. It also uses real-life gangsters and cops based in Pakistan’s Lyari.”
