A law enforcement source told The Post that the transgender partner was living with Tyler. He was aware of some of his troubling chats. The FBI reportedly obtained Discord messages shared between the two. It possibly includes chat on bullet casings with inscriptions on ammunition. There is also a mention about retrieving a rifle from a hidden drop point. This chat could play a significant role as evidence behind Tyler’s possible crime.
Who is Tyler Robinson?
Tyler Robinson has a complex background behind him. He was raised in a conservative Mormon household in Washington, Utah. Unlike others, his family didn’t hold any special allegiance to a political party. According to Governor Spencer Cox, Tyler’s ideological change was obvious to witness during family gatherings. It would often result in arguments. They also revealed that Robinson briefly attended Utah State University in 2021 before dropping out. Before he attacked Charlie, he was living in a USD 600,000 family home with his parents and siblings.
The FBI affidavit states that Robinson carried out the shooting using a .30-06-caliber Mauser bolt-action rifle, which was later recovered in a wooded area. The bullets fired were especially chilling, with messages etched onto the casings, including one that read, “Hey fascist! catch.” Surveillance and eyewitness reports confirmed Robinson had changed outfits after the attack, wearing dark sunglasses, a baseball cap, and carrying a black backpack to hide his identity.
