Director duo Pushkar-Gayathri returned to the script of their 2017 Tamil hit of the same name, changed the setting to Lucknow for Chennai and bringing in Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan to play the roles originally essayed by Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi.
