Vikram’s film with SU Arun Kumar gets a title (Tamil)

On the occasion of Vikram’s birthday, the makers of Chiyaan62 officially announced the title. Titled Veera Dheeran Sooran, the announcement came with a teaser that sees Vikram as a grocery store owner who has a violent side to him.  A gang of rivals plan to attack him and wait for confirmation while Vikram begins to retaliate.

Veera Dheeran Sooran was written and directed by SU Arun Kumar, who last helmed Chittha. The film is backed by Riya Shibu under the HR Pictures banner. SJ Suryah, Dushara Vijayan, and Sooraj Venjaramoodu also star in the film. Theni Eshwar handles the cinematography while GV Prakash Kumar handles the music.

Prem Kumar pays a cop in his next (Kannada)

Prem Kumar, who is known for his romantic comedies is reportedly undergoing a rebranding. The actor will be playing a cop in his next, which is touted to be an action entertainer. Currently titled PK28, the film is written and directed by Thejesh BK. The announcement came with a poster that sees an armed Prem Kumar standing inside a police station as a riot takes place in front of him.

PK28 is backed by Geethanjanli S under the Pentrix Entertainments banner. The film also stars Rangayana Raghu, with the rest of the cast set to be announced soon. Vasuki Vaibhav handles the music while Anand Meenakshi handles the cinematography.

Mammootty’s Turbo gets a release date (Malayalam)

Mammootty’s next film will be the action entertainer Turbo. The makers of the film announced that it would be released in cinemas on June 13. The announcement came with a new poster where the star is seen sitting on top of a jeep while a fair happens around him.

Turbo is directed by Vysakh and written by Midhun Manuel Thomas. The film also stars Raj B Shetty, Sunil, and Anjana Jayaprakash. It is backed by Mammootty’s production house Mammootty Kampany and will be distributed by Dulquer Salman’s Wayfarer Films. The film has music by Justin Varghese.
