Vidya Balan recalls being cheated on in her first relationship
Recently, at an event in Taj Lands End in Mumbai, Vidya Balan delved into the matter of love and relationships. She walked down the memory lane and recalled her first relationship, that ended in a disaster. The actress revealed that she broke up with her boyfriend on the grounds of cheating. Exemplifying her claims, Vidya revealed how after their breakup, she met him again during a Valentines Day event in her college, wherein her ex openly proclaimed that he was going out on a date with one of his other exes. Revealing how it crushed her completely, Vidya said:
“I have been cheated on. The first boy I dated cheated on me… I remember we had just broken up and I bumped into him in college on Valentine’s Day and he turned around and said that ‘I am just going to meet my ex-girlfriend for a date.’ And I was like what? He literally crushed me that day but I have done better than that in life for myself.”

Vidya Balan says her only long-term relationship was with her husband, Sidharth Roy Kapur
Moving forth in her conversation, Vidya Balan stated that she wasn’t a serial dater, and she was in only a few relationships. Furthermore, she agreed that her first-ever serious and longstanding relationship had been with her husband, Sidharth Roy Kapur. In her words:
“I wasn’t a serial dater. I dated a few men but thankful my first serious long relationship was to the man I am married to.”
Vidya Balan gave a sassy response to the constant scrutiny over her weight
Earlier, while speaking at the 54th International Film Festival of India, Vidya Balan remarked how she hasn’t ever bothered about her bodily appearance, especially considering that she has a career which is before the camera. On the contrary, Vidya stated that her size has never been any issue for her, and she forgets about every judgement and gossip being said about her figure, once she does her job on-camera.

Vidya Balan revealed how she grew up hating her body
Previously, in an interaction with lifestyle coach, Luke Coutinho, Vidya Balan revealed how growing up, she always hated her body. She recalled facing body image issues and mentioned that her mother used to make her follow a strict diet early on, since she feared that her daughter might be criticised for being chubby. Talking about those days, the diva stated:
“My mother had this fear that I was a chubby girl. So she was constantly doing things to make me lose weight because she grew up a big girl. She was scared about the fact that I would be judged like her.”
