Another wild adventure in the post-apocalyptic world of Mad Max is on the cards, as Academy Award-winning director George Miller unveils his latest masterpiece, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. Set to hit screens on May 23, 2024, this eagerly awaited film promises to delve into the origins of one of cinema’s most iconic characters, Furiosa, portrayed by Anya Taylor-Joy, alongside Chris Hemsworth. A new poster was unveiled on April 8 along with the details that the film will arrive in Indian theatres a day before the US.

In this standalone action-packed journey, Miller takes audiences back to the gritty and unforgiving landscape he first introduced over three decades ago. This time, we follow the young and resilient Furiosa as she is torn from her home in the Green Place of Many Mothers and thrust into a perilous world ruled by chaos and tyranny. Caught in the clutches of the ruthless Warlord Dementus and his formidable Biker Horde, Furiosa must navigate a treacherous path through the desolate wasteland. Along the way, she encounters the menacing Citadel, ruled by the enigmatic Immortan Joe, setting the stage for a showdown of epic proportions between two power-hungry tyrants.

As Furiosa embarks on her quest for survival and redemption, she faces a series of daunting challenges that will test her courage and determination. With the help of unlikely allies, including the mysterious Max (played by Hemsworth), and the fierce warrior Valkyrie (portrayed by Alyla Browne), Furiosa must gather the strength and resources to reclaim her rightful place in a world torn apart by greed and oppression.
Written by Miller himself, in collaboration with Nico Lathouris, the co-writer of Mad Max: Fury Road, this latest instalment promises to captivate audiences with its gripping narrative and adrenaline-fueled action sequences. The film is produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures.
