Celebrity fitness coach, Vinod Channa worked as a housekeeper after leaving home with an empty stomach


However, there was a time when Vinod Channa was working as a security guard. Yes! You read it right. For the unversed, Vinod was born into a not-so-financially-strong family in Mumbai.


When he was a teenager, he left his home after his mother scolded him for not earning anything to contribute to household necessities. It was a heavy insult for Vinod, as his younger brother was earning money then, but he wasn’t doing any job. As a result, Vinod left his home with misty eyes and an empty stomach in search of some work.


After wandering here and there for some time, Vinod Channa started working as a housekeeper for just Rs. 500-600. Vinod worked for three months as a house-help, after which he took the job of a watchman. However, he eventually lost his job after failing to salute his employer once.


In the coming years, he did a lot of low-paying jobs to survive. Despite all these struggles in his life, Vinod was also focused on making a career in bodybuilding, as he was interested in it right from an early age. Even when he was earning less than Rs. 1000 a month, Vinod was training at a gym whose monthly fee was just Rs. 50.

However, there came a point in his life when Vinod decided to quit his low-paying job and joined a night college to study more about nutrition and bodybuilding, along with a part-time job. After years of hard work and consistency, finally, it was around 1993-1994 when he started getting results. From winning numerous bodybuilding competitions to earning more than Rs. 20,000 per month, Vinod started training people at gyms and certified himself from K-11 Academy.
