In an interaction with Barkha Dutt, Raveena Tandon talked about a particular point in her career, where, due to her very strict principles of choosing work, she ended up rejecting quite a few big opportunities. The actress remarked that from the very first step in her career, she never wanted to do kissing scenes or any other bold moves on the screen. Talking more about the same, she narrated:
“I didn’t do kissing scenes, but I also didn’t do movies if the costumes I was not comfortable with. I left big movies with big stars if I wasn’t comfortable with the costumes. There was a film that I had with a very very big star, that I regret, because I really wanted to work with him, he was my favourite. But unfortunately, it had those pom-poms right here, like a Playboy Bunny, which to me was objectifying women.”
