On the birthday of Janhvi Kapoor, the makers announced about her association with Ram Charan for the Telugu superstar’s upcoming untitled venture with Uppena director Buchi Babu Sana. Earlier this week, the shooting for this film, tentatively referred to as RC16, commenced after the makers hosted a small ‘mahurat’ pooja in Hyderabad which was attended by the entire team including the leads as well as Ram’s father Chiranjeevi. Now sharing a glimpse of the work they have kicked off on the film, a few photos from the sets of the film was unveiled.

Echoing the legacy of iconic pairings in Telugu cinema, exemplified by the blockbuster movie Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari which brought together Ram Charan’s father, Chiranjeevi, alongside Janhvi Kapoor’s late mother, the iconic Sridevi, RC16 holds a special significance. As torchbearers of this lineage, Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor are coming together to embark on a new journey and fans couldn’t be more excited to see this chemistry onscreen.
On Wednesday, as the film was launched with much fanfare, we hear that the music for this upcoming entertainer will be composed by music maestro A.R. Rahman. Along with the two lead actors, Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar too has been roped in to play a key role in this entertainer.
Speaking of the current work commitments of the actors, Ram Charan is expected to make a grand comeback to theatres with Game Changer, directed by S Shankar and co-starring Kiara Advani. The film is expected to have a Pan India release but the date is being kept under wraps.
On the other hand, this will mark the second Telugu film of Janhvi Kapoor. The actress will be making her South debut with Devara Part 1 alongside Jr. NTR which is slated for release during Dussehra this year, on October 10.
