Nargis Fakhri’s filmography boasts of the versatile characters and varied genres, ranging from drama to comedy to action, which she has explored in her career. Over the years, she has consciously made the decision to choose to be a part of films like Rockstar with Ranbir Kapoor, Main Tera Hero with Varun Dhawan and Ileana D’Cruz, Madras Café with John Abraham, Azhar with Emraan Hashmi, where she has shared screen space with many actors and despite that, her characters have been appreciated by many.
Nargis Fakhri says ‘it’s not always about the length of the role’ as she opens up about choosing the right film
Recently, in an interaction, the actress revealed that there is an interesting thought process which goes behind in choosing the right kind of script for her. She explained, “I believe in the power of storytelling. I look for stories that challenge me as an artist and push me to explore new dimensions. I seek roles that allow me to contribute meaningfully to cinema. Each project should be a step forward in my artistic journey, resonating with audiences and leaving a legacy of impactful storytelling.”
At the same time, Nargis also maintained that its what she brings to the table to the character is important and not her time span on screen. “I feel movies are not always about the length of your character, but the message and impact it carries and how the audience connect with the characters. Each character that I play is an opportunity for me to grow as a personality and as an artist. Be it a complex character or a distinct one, I have had the opportunity to evolve as an actor and I am quite grateful for it,” she added.
For the unversed, Nargis Fakhri made her debut in 2011 with the highly-appreciated Imtiaz Ali film Rockstar and went on to do not only Hindi films but also South films as well as Hollywood projects like Spy (2015).
