The President of India has appointed C P Radhakrishnan, the present Governor of Jharkhand, to discharge the duties of the Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, along with his current tasks, till additional preparations are made.
This determination follows the acceptance of the resignation of Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan from the positions of Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, in accordance with a press release launched by the President’s workplace.
Soundararajan had contested the 2019 Parliament elections from Thoothukudi constituency in southern Tamil Nadu on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket, nevertheless, confronted defeat to Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam’s (DMK) Kanimozhi.
