According to the grievance, Kumar violated the ballot code by posting an image with actor Tovino Thomas, who’s an envoy for the Election Commission’s Systematic Voter’s Education and Electoral Participation programme (SVEEP).


Ravikumar Uppath, the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) Thrissur district coordinator, filed the grievance with the district collector, who can also be the returning officer for the Thrissur Lok Sabha constituency, alleging that the Left chief misused the actor’s {photograph} to hunt votes and, therefore, violated the Model Code of Conduct.
