Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Ok Stalin on Tuesday dismissed the Citizenship (Amendment) Act as ‘divisive and bereft of any use’ and asserted that it’s going to not be carried out within the state.


Hitting out on the BJP regime on the Centre for notifying the foundations for implementing the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) ‘in a haste’ when the Lok Sabha polls are not far away, Stalin mentioned the CAA and its guidelines went in opposition to the essential construction of the Constitution.
